About Abbie:

I founded Space City Nutrition because I am passionate about helping people heal their relationships with food and body on their own terms.

I received my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nutritional sciences from Oklahoma State University and completed my dietetic internship at University of Houston. My background includes clinical experience in eating disorder treatment, and I specialize in weight-inclusive care for people navigating complex medical and emotional issues with food.

I am queer and particularly love working with members of the LGBTQ+ community, for whom food and body can present unique challenges. I care deeply about making healthcare more accessible, which is why we accept as many insurance carriers as possible and offer reduced rates based on need.

One of the most fulfilling parts of my role is leading and supporting the incredible team at Space City Nutrition. I’m committed to creating a practice culture where both clients and staff feel heard, respected, and genuinely cared for.

Outside of work, you can find me dancing at a rave, playing with my dog Ozzie, thrifting, or growing a jungle of houseplants. I am committed to a lifetime of learning and unlearning, personally and professionally.
