specialities

  • We treat all eating disorders, including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID), and otherwise not specified eating disorder (OSFED). Often, we will recommend that you also work with a therapist, physician, and/or psychiatrist while working with us because an eating disorder is a complex mental illness and requires a team approach.

We recognize that everyone’s recovery journey looks different and will prioritize working on the goals you have for yourself while maintaining your safety. You can find an eating disorder screening quiz here (as well as lots of other eating disorder resources).

  • We take a weight neutral approach in the treatment of PCOS. Instead of focusing on weight loss, we focus on providing education around what PCOS is, how it affects your individual body, and giving nutrition ideas that can reduce symptoms while still helping you cultivate a positive and flexible relationship with food.

We will discuss helpful supplements for PCOS as well and will give you ideas for meals/snacks specialized for PCOS while paying attention to your food preferences and the best eating patterns for your lifestyle.

  • We use a paradigm called “intuitive eating” to help you heal your relationship with food. Intuitive eating is about trusting your body signals of hunger and fullness. If you are out of touch with these cues from years of dieting, we can help you to get back in touch.

We will work on self-compassion and normalizing all foods, using research-backed strategies to make peace with foods you feel out of control around. We will discuss creative new ways to cope with emotions aside from using food.

Ultimately, it is our goal that you will feel confident in your ability to eat in a way that makes you feel your best while allowing you to enjoy the social and cultural aspects of food.

  • I can help you navigate nutrition for conditions like hypertension, high cholesterol, and prediabetes from a weight-neutral perspective.
